Jacki Vause has spent three decades in public relations, watching the industry evolve from traditional media relations through to digital, social and the increasingly fast-moving world of online reputation.

As a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Chartered PR Practitioner, she brings an insider's understanding of how campaigns are built, how stories reach the media and what happens when the plan meets the public.

She is the Founder and CEO of Dimoso and Six Cygnets, and the host of Where Pop Culture Meets PR, one of the UK’s leading PR podcasts. Together with Lyle Fulton, she examines celebrity stories, brand controversies and the biggest moments in popular culture through a PR lens.

She is also a Women in Games Ambassador and a multi-award-winning PR professional, with experience spanning agencies, brands, technology, gaming and emerging media.

As The PR Critic, Jacki is applying her experience to the stories everyone is already talking about, from celebrity scandals and royal headlines to brand crises, apologies and reputation disasters. She's built campaigns like these herself, so she knows exactly how much planning goes into a single quote, a single apology, a single well-timed leak, and exactly how often planning can fall apart in the public eye. Her view has always been that PR is a discipline, and one that deserves the same level of scrutiny as any other.
